SVDP News Food Distribution We distribute food on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at Blessed Serra Church from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Our Lady of the Snows & Blessed Junipero Serra Conference
Thank you for your generosity and support during this past year. Your donations of money, food, clothing, household items, gifts, combined with support from other area residents, schools and businesses, has and continues to help us serve those families and individuals in need. During the past year, we served 6,453 people through the twice monthly Food Pantry at BJS and Commodities Food distribution every 3rd Saturday at OLS; along with direct visits. Through your
ongoing support, we can continue serving the growing number of people we
see.
Our primary service area reflects the boundaries of both BJS and OLS Parishes. We support anyone,
regardless of religious affiliation, in need.
We invite Parish Members to join our friendly and generous Vincentian Members. Adults and Youth are invited to participate in our efforts to support those families we serve.
The Training and good feeling one gets from helping needy community
members is free!

Save Babies by Saving for Babies
Call for Life Pregnancy Help Center is a local volunteer ministry dedicated to counseling, education and service. We are committed to promoting the sanctity of life from the moment of conception to its natural end, encouraging chastity, according to God’ Plan. Our free services include guidance and support to any woman with an unanticipated pregnancy. We offer pregnancy tests, maternity and baby clothes, diapers, wipes, formula, other baby items,
and referrals for medical and social services.
Please fill the bottle that you will be given next week, with your most generous gift of change, bills or a check so that we can continue this ministry of saving babies. Checks may be made out to Call for Life.
All donations are tax-deductible.

For the past several weeks we have been studying the letter to the
Hebrews. We find that it is arguably the greatest sermon ever preached
or written and intended to encourage perseverance in Christian faith.
Next we will be studying the Gospel of Mark. Marks Gospel was the first
to be written and is the shortest of all the New Testament gospels. In
the almost breathless narrative, Mark stresses Jesus’ message about the
kingdom of God now breaking into human life as good news, and Jesus
himself as the gospel of God. Jesus is the Son whom God has sent to
rescue
humanity by serving and by sacrificing his life. We invite you to come
join us on this beautiful and
exciting journey. Classes are held on:
Wednesdays
at Our Lady of the Snows 9am
Facilitator: Don Washburn.
Fridays
at Blessed Junipero Serra at 9am
Facilitators: Carmen Block and Pat Misenheimer |

OUR LADY OF THE SNOWS Women's Council
Women’s Council is grateful for the wonderful
support from our parishioners to assist us in our Annual Thanksgiving
Pumpkin Bread Sale.
We had a great variety of volunteer Bakers:
Men, High School youth, young mothers and the ladies of the council and
friends.
Volunteers also took care of the sale of
the bread.
With this kind of support we are able to be a
positive presence in our Wrightwood Community at large.
The purpose of this fund raising endeavor
is to support our Church with special projects.
The proceeds this year were $1,840.49
because of your generosity.
We plan to redo the steps outdoors that
lead to the worship space.
The family spirit of our Parish is joy to
be a part of.
Thank You! The council meets on the first Wednesday of each month. The next meeting will be on March 7.
