SVDP Raising Funds We are starting a fund raising program in order to raise money so that we can better serve the needy in our community. We are asking the parishioners to save all their plastic water bottles and aluminum soda and beer cans, so that we can redeem them at the recycling centers. This will give us more opportunity to buy needed goods for the needy families. Drop off areas will be determined at a later date. Anyone interested can contact Tom McGrosky through the parish office. You may drop off your Recyclables on Saturday, October 25 at both churches from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Help prepare an evening meal for those less fortunate among us. OLS/BJS have been assigned the 2nd Monday of each month to prepare a meal for anyone in need at the Senior Center in Phelan. We could use your support
We need help from our parishioners to assist in preparing an item for a meal, setting up the tables and serving food as well as cleaning after the meal is served. If you have musical talent we could use you that night. Wondering how you can help out? Donations are needed to support some of the meals. A special "Thank YOU" to all that have helped to support us these past months. It has been greatly appreciated! Volunteer by calling the parish office. Thank you, God Bless

Knights of Columbus

The Knights of Columbus are at it again. More concrete has been done. The garden has a life of it’s own, and continues to take shape. If you have not visited the garden, take a moment to check it out. Thanks to all those who give of their time & talent for this special project!! It’s very impressive!! It’s not too late to have your families name placed on the rosary wall or a deceased loved one on the memorial wall. If you are interested, please call the parish office.
The next Knights of Columbus Meeting will be held on October 14th at Blessed Serra Church at 7:00 p.m.

Little Rock Bible Study
|
||
|
Today we are blessed with a church that encourages Catholics to read and to study the Bible. Before Vatican II this was not the case. Understanding the Bible may still be challenging and getting together with others in discussion is a good way to approach the topic. Bible Study will start up again on August 20th at Our Lady of the Snows and August 22nd at Blessed Junipero Serra, both will begin at 9 am. We will be studying the Book of Joshua. Come and learn how Joshua, son of Nun, leads the Hebrew people into the "promised land" after being in the desert for forty years. It will be such a pleasure having you join the Bible Study group. For more information, please call the parish office. |
